Climate
Climate in the Amazon RainforestThe climate in the Amazon rainforest is like that of any other typical tropical rainforest. It is hot and humid. The temperature is 79 degrees Fahrenheit for the entire year which gets compounded due to the heavy humidity. There aren't many seasonal changes in the climate and the temperature too remains the same for pretty much of the year. In fact the difference between the day and night temperatures is greater than the difference between any two seasons. The weather remains the same all year long.
As for the rain, the Amazon forest climate is perennially monsoon-like. Due to the large river basin and the tropical heat, the moist air near the ground is heated, causing it to rise. When it reaches the condensation point, it forms rain clouds. This process happens for all the 12 months. This type of rainfall is called convectional rainfall. It rains almost the whole year in the Amazon forest. But two seasons can be defined for the sake of clarity as the rainy season and the not-so-rainy season. In the former, the rains are about 60-180 inches while in the non-rainy seasons, the rains may be between 30-100 inches. The rains start just as suddenly as they stop.
Who lives in the Amazon Jungle?
Hundreds of years ago, many ingenious people or Indians lived in the Amazon Jungle. Many of the lived among rivers where canoes made getting around much easier. They also had a source of water by living close to a river, they also had a source of water needed to survive. Many of these people died by the disease that the European explorers and colonist brought when they went there. The others died when they were being enslaved . During this age, there are fewer people living in the amazon then 500. But there are still people living in the Amazon Jungle, just that we do not know who there are.

What is causing the amazon rainforest to change?
You may ask ''why is the amazon rainforest changing?'' The answer to that is global warming and deforestation. Global warming may cause forest fire and burn the forest. The nutrients in the soil will be unfertile and hence cannot grow plants anymore. We can do OUR part by recycling plastic for example. Burning plastic will produce greenhouse gas which will allow heat to be trapped in the earth. If we recycle plastic , there will not be burning and hence no greenhouse gases will be produced.
Deforestation is another major cause of the rainforest itself shrinking in size. Why deforestation? It is for paper and buildings etc. How can we ourselves as students do our part? Easy. Recycling paper. Do you know that 17 trees are chopped down just to produce a ton of paper? Thats a lot! Imagine. If we just use as little paper as possible, how many trees could be saved?
We should try to protect the environment just by simply recycling and I believe it should be easy for us. If we save the rainforest , animals that are endangered can be saved and they will not disappear forever.

What is special about Amazon forest?
Because of size, the Amazon rain forest is a vital element of global weather, supplying a significant portion of the world's oxygen through photosynthesis and acting as a major portion in the hydrologic cycle through plant transpiration
The amazon forest has about one of the animal species in the world that is 3000 freshwater fish, over 520 mammals ,1622 brd species and 468 repitles. ther are some endangered species of animals such as giant anteater, several varieties of sloths and armadillos, coati, giant river otter, tapir, peccaries, marsh deer, Pampas deer, and capybara for mammals for example.
